Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Zesty Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information collected through ZestyLabs.org, its project sites, and the products described on them, including Frīgg. It supplements our Terms and Conditions and SMS Messaging Terms.

1. Who we are

Zesty Labs is an early-stage research and product studio. For anything in this policy, write to privacy@zestylabs.org.

2. What we collect

When you join a waitlist or request early access, we store:

• Your email address
• The page you signed up from, the country your request came from, and the time
• The result of an automated deliverability check on your email address

If you complete a qualification survey, we additionally store:

• Your name and, if you provide it, your professional profile URL
• Your mobile phone number, if you provide it
• Your written answers and the context you would use the product in
• Whether you agreed to be contacted, and by which channels

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising analytics on this site.

3. Why we collect it

To decide who to invite into a small private beta, to contact you about it, and to operate the products you have asked to use. That is the whole purpose. Where the law requires a lawful basis, ours is your consent, which you give by submitting the relevant form and can withdraw at any time.

4. Mobile information and SMS

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party for that party’s own purposes.

Your mobile number and messaging consent are used only to operate the messaging program described in our SMS Messaging Terms. Information may be passed to the communications provider that delivers messages on our behalf, solely so that those messages can be sent. You can withdraw messaging consent at any time by replying STOP to any message.

5. Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers, and no one else:

• Cloudflare — hosting and the database the records sit in
• Resend — sends transactional and survey email
• ZeroBounce — checks whether an email address is deliverable
• Twilio — delivers text messages for the messaging program

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

6. How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or for 24 months after your last interaction with us — whichever comes first. Email addresses that fail the deliverability check are deleted within 30 days. Records of your messaging consent and opt-out are retained for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance with messaging regulations.

7. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to be contacted. Email privacy@zestylabs.org and we will act within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and believe we have handled this badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

8. Children

Our sites and products are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will notify people on our lists rather than quietly editing the page.
